Senior Activities & Sports
Healthy active aging is the theme for the Department of Recreation and Parks’ Senior Division, where we offer a variety of life-enriching recreational programs, trips, classes and events for Baltimore City’s older adults, ages 50 and older. Join your fellow seniors from across town for a wide variety of special events and programs designed to promote good health, vitality, fun and fellowship. Activities include crab feasts, classes, line dancing, cultural arts, regional day trips and “a day at the races” at Pimlico Race Track, just to name a few. Group transportation to these events is always included in the ticket price.
Collington Square Recreation Center, located at 1410 N. Patterson Park Ave, serves as the Division’s office. Baltimore City Recreation and Parks in collaboration with Baltimore City Health Department CARE Services provides senior services at Cherry Hill Senior Center (Rowing Club), located at 3301 Waterview Ave. A variety of classes and activities are offered at the center and seniors from across Baltimore City are encouraged to attend.
